About Youth Leadership Foundation: YLF builds character and supports the pursuit of academic excellence among DC-MD-VA youth, through mentoring and scholarships. Over the 18-year history, committed students have changed the trajectory of their lives academically, socially and professionally.
YLF is pleased to announce this tournament will also offer targeted financial assistance to merit-worthy YLF students so they can attend local elementary and high schools.
Johnny Holliday: “More children receiving quality education has been a goal of mine for over a decade and I’m happy to say that expanding the impact of the Johnny Holliday Scholarship Classic is doing even more to open doors and lower those barriers for the children that YLF serves!”
This year’s Johnny Holliday Scholarship Classic will honor legendary Hall of Fame Basketball Coach Morgan Wootten. Morgan is so magnanimous that, not only did the majority of his players receive scholarships to play D-1 basketball for 20 plus years, but also his team’s managers received academic scholarships as well.
